About Us

Established in 1984, Cottage Industries began with a simple love of painting. While our first "workshop" consisted of only a small scroll saw, we cut and painted pieces for a local home craft show. With the success of that show, we soon realized our woodshop had to grow to keep up with the demand from customers. From the beginning, the popularity of our pieces came from not only the artwork, but my ability to personalize. After a course in calligraphy, I exchanged the pen for a brush and created our first Personalized House Plaque^©. Today, we continue to add unique gifts and furniture to our catalog and will soon offer original, framed paintings and prints.
